Congratulations to Teagan Mulder, who is the winner to the door prize competition which was run by IT during the ECU Live! University Open Day.on Sunday 12, September 2007.|
The competition was open to visitors who answered the following question:
"In 25 words or less, describe why Lenovo has the best engineered PCs?"
Teagan, with the most creative answer was selected from hundreds of entries placed in the barrel.
Teagan is now a proud owner of the 19” LCD wide screen computer monitor. The monitor was kindly donated by Lenovo, who is ECU’s supplier for most of the university’s computer hardware.
We were pleased to present Teagan with the prize during a ceremony in the new Joondalup Library and IT building on Friday 31 August 2007. Teagan, accompanied by her father were taken for a tour around the eLab by IT Campus Coordinator, Ven Boujos and they had the opportunity to inspect the ECU computing facilities provided by the University to students.
Teagan was impressed with the computer lab with more than 150 computers and additional 60 laptop workstation available to students 7 days a week on a 24 hours basis.
After finishing High School, Teagan plans to study teaching and wants to enrol at ECU to complete a Bachelor of Education course.
ECU Live! Is a biannual event organised on Joondalup and Mt Lawley campuses and an excellent opportunity for ECU staff from faculties and centres to meet with community and share the experience and knowledge about ECU courses and facilities.
The IT department has been represented on both occasions this year and staff were busy answering enquiries from prospective and current students about ECU computing facilities, IT services as well as enquiries about ECU Advantage laptop program.
