Winner of ECU Live! Joondaloop - IT Services laptop competition announced - June 10, 2008.

Congratulations to Shelly Tills of Churchlands, who is the winner of the door prize competition which was run by IT department during the ECU Live! University Open Day in Joondalup on Sunday 25 May 2008.|

The competition was open to prospective and current ECU students who visited IT Services stand. The lucky winner entry was drawn from hundreds of entries placed in the barrel.

Shelly is now a proud owner of the Lenovo ThinkPad laptop computer. The laptop was kindly donated by WJ Moncrieff, the company which supplies ECU with most of the university's computer hardware.

We were pleased to present Shelly with the prize during a ceremony on Tuesday 10 June 2008 in the new Joondalup Library and IT building. Shelly arrived with her daughter Kate who is currently studying in the final year of high school and plans to continue her studies by enrolling in one of the business courses.
Shelly and Kate were impressed with ECU eLab, the computer laboratory for students. This facility is equipped with more than 150 computers and additional 60 laptop workstation available to students 7 days 24 hours.

ECU Live! Is a biannual event organised on Joondalup and Mt Lawley campuses and an excellent opportunity for ECU staff from faculties and centres to meet with community and share the experience and knowledge about ECU courses and facilities.
